This cafecito is a part of our array program that aims to source coffees aligned with our pillars of quality, relationship and impact. We have been searching to source a coffee we can use as both a comforting coffee to sip on and a staple to some of our blends. This allows us to be able to purchase more coffee from our partners. We reached out to our importing partners at Forest as we were searching for a coffee produced by women that we could use for these purposes and they introduced us to the Condor Huila Project that was started by one of the founders of Forest, Martha Bayter. The mission of the Condor Huila Project is "to create a space for women coffee producers in Huila, empowering them to grow and build a community around specialty coffee within an industry traditionally dominated by men. By encouraging collaboration and community among women producers, this project fosters sustainable growth and enables them to access new markets, enhancing the visibility of women’s contributions to the coffee sector in Colombia."
This coffee is layered with milk chocolate, citrus, and melon notes. We love it at a 1:16 ratio for filter and batch brew and are excited to have this coffee on our menu and hope to continue to foster this relationship for years to come.
