Known as the \"food bowl\" of PNG for thousands of years, the Waghi Valley is surrounded by ancient volcanic landscapes that have created exceptionally fertile sandy loam soils. The coffee gardens are situated near the Wara Tuman River, which carries nutrient-rich waters from some of the country's highest volcanic peaks, further enriching the growing environment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCoffee cherries are delivered to the Kindeng wet mill, where they are carefully pulped, fermented, and dried to parchment before being transported to the Kagamuga dry mill in Mount Hagen for final preparation and export.
