We're so excited to feature coffees from the Boza family for the third year!
This year, we have the honor and privilege to feature coffee from Carlos Boza's sister, Maritza Boza. Her practices, vision, and mission on her farm Finca San José align with that of the Boza family on their San Antonio Amatepec Farm. We loved what we tasted at the cupping table when selecting this beautiful naturally processed Red Bourbon: fig jam, rum cake, and cherry in a sweet, juicy cup!
More about the Boza family:
The Bozas have been producing coffee with the environment and community in mind since 1969. The Boza family’s farm is located in San Salvador’s volcanic hills and is run by Carlos Boza alongside his three daughters, Alexandra, Daniella, and Karla. They're committed to innovating to bring consumers better coffee, to pushing our industry forward, and to opening paths for newcomers to our industry. Their farm has been certified by Rainforest Alliance in the past and they continue to implement practices that got them that certification. They are also members of IWCA (International Women's Coffee Alliance) and the Denomination of Origin Bálsamo Quezaltepec, which makes their coffee fully traceable and unique to their region.
